What your MOI letter needs

  • Official university letterhead — not from an individual teacher
  • Issue date, official stamp and signature
  • Name, date of birth and details matching your degree, transcript and passport
  • A clear statement that the degree was taught and assessed in English
  • Degree completed within the university's time limit (usually 3–6 years)
MOI is usually not accepted if you failed a SELT (e.g. IELTS UKVI) during or after your degree, or for courses that need a higher English score.
